Editorial Guidelines

Our standards for Sourcing, AI Usage, and Legal Compliance.

1. Social Media & Viral Content

BuzzWire Daily operates at the speed of culture. As part of our mission to deliver “Raw News, Real Buzz”[cite: 3], we frequently cover viral topics, trending discussions, and breaking news emerging on platforms like X (Twitter), TikTok, Instagram, and Reddit.

Sourcing Public Information

We treat public social media posts by public figures, influencers, and witnesses as newsworthy source material. However, we adhere to the following:

  • Verification: We verify the authenticity of viral accounts before citing them as fact. Parody or fake accounts are identified as such.
  • Public Domain: We report on information explicitly shared in the public domain. We respect privacy settings and do not expose private communications unless there is an overwhelming public interest.

Embeds & Attribution

We respect content creators. When we utilize third-party content:

  • Direct Embedding: We prefer to use native embed codes (Twitter cards, Instagram posts) which ensure the original creator receives views and credit.
  • Credits: If an embed is not possible, we clearly credit the owner (e.g., “Source: @UserHandle via TikTok”) and provide a link back to the original source.

2. US Law & Fair Use Compliance

BuzzWire Daily operates in accordance with United States copyright and privacy laws.

If you believe your content has been used outside the scope of Fair Use, please contact our legal team immediately at legal@buzzwiredaily.com for review.

3. AI Visuals & Technology

To maintain our “Electric” visual aesthetic[cite: 3], BuzzWire Daily employs Artificial Intelligence tools to generate illustrative artwork, featured images, and background textures.

Transparency & Labeling

We believe in distinguishing reality from illustration. Our AI policy is strict:

  • Featured Images: AI-generated images used as headers or thumbnails are used for artistic representation of a topic, not to mislead.
  • Mandatory Captions: Any AI-generated visual will be clearly labeled in the image caption or photo credit line (e.g., “Image: AI Generated illustration via Midjourney” or “Concept art by BuzzWire AI”).
  • No Deepfakes: We strictly prohibit the use of AI to create hyper-realistic fake images of real public figures in compromising or factually incorrect scenarios without explicit “Satire” labeling.

4. Fact-Checking Standards

While we cover “Gossip” and “Rumors” [cite: 118] as distinct categories, we do not present rumors as facts.

  • Corroboration: Breaking news is verified via multiple sources.
  • Clear Language: We use precise language (e.g., “Reportedly,” “Allegedly,” “Sources claim”) to distinguish between confirmed events and developing stories.

5. Corrections Policy

Transparency is the core of our trust. If we get it wrong, we fix it.

Substantial errors will be corrected immediately, with a footnote added to the bottom of the article: “Correction [Date]: A previous version of this article incorrectly stated…”

To submit a correction request, email corrections@buzzwiredaily.com.
