A 7-year-old boy’s piercing scream, caught on a Ring camera, has gripped Milwaukee with fear and urgency as Jamal White remains missing after a brazen kidnapping. On July 11, 2025, around 7:00 p.m., near 61st and Hustis streets, the young boy was riding his bike when a masked man with a handgun forced him into a white Jeep Renegade SUV. The vehicle, its license plate unknown, sped away, leaving a community in shock and a family pleading for his safe return.
The Milwaukee Police Department swiftly issued an Amber Alert, describing Jamal as a 4-foot-tall, 80-pound Black boy with short black hair and brown eyes, last seen in a white T-shirt and black shorts. The suspect, a Black male in a black hoodie and face mask, may have been joined by up to three other armed men, according to some accounts. Authorities are urging anyone with information to call 414-935-7242 or 911 immediately.
The Ring camera footage, shared widely by Jamal’s family, captures the heart-wrenching moment of his abduction, spurring a massive community response. On July 12, roughly 75 people gathered at Carmen Park, splitting into groups to search for any sign of the boy, known fondly as “Baby J” for his bright smile and love for cartoons, cars, and music. His cousin, Raven Jackson, spoke of his playful spirit, while the family, drained but resolute, begs for the public to watch for the white Jeep Renegade.
