The Recording Academy will reveal the nominees for the 2027 Grammy Awards on Monday, November 16, 2026, during a special presentation on Grammy.com and the Grammys’ official YouTube channel. In a November 6 announcement, the Academy said Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason jr. and Board of Trustees chair Dr. Chelsey Green will be joined by a lineup of Grammy-winning and Grammy-nominated artists that includes Alan Menken, Amy Allen, Carly Pearce, David Guetta, FYÜTCH and Aura V, Herbie Hancock, Israel Houghton, Juanes, Kehlani, Linda Perry, Meghan Foley and Michelle Holme, Olivia Dean, Pharrell Williams, Renée Fleming, YUNGBLUD and Ziggy Marley.
The presentation is scheduled to begin at 7:45 a.m. Eastern / 4:45 a.m. Pacific, which converts to 6:45 p.m. in Dhaka on November 16. The complete nominations list, a wrap-up show and a press release are scheduled to appear at 9 a.m. Eastern / 6 a.m. Pacific, or 8 p.m. in Dhaka. The Academy says those times are approximate and subject to change.
The useful distinction for anyone following along is simple: the presenters have been named, and the nominees have not. An artist appearing in the announcement lineup is not, by itself, evidence that the artist has earned a nomination. Until the Academy publishes its list on November 16, unofficial prediction sheets and social-media rankings should be treated as speculation.
The Academy says nominations across its categories will be announced during the special presentation, then posted on Grammy.com alongside a press release. It also lists special live coverage on “Good Morning America.” For the first time, the nominations presentation will be broadcast live at The Square in Times Square, presented by Hilton, which the announcement names as the official hotel partner of the 2027 Grammys and a sponsor of the special. Those are the outlets the Academy has named. The announcement does not establish that every television or streaming service on that list is available in every country, including Bangladesh. The most reliable official starting points remain Grammy.com and the Grammys’ YouTube channel on the day itself.
Awards-season posts often blur the line between a recording being submitted and a recording making the nominations list. The Academy’s Grammy 101 FAQ draws that distinction clearly: entries are recordings submitted for consideration, while voting determines which eligible entries receive nominations. In most categories, Voting Members make those choices. In selected craft categories, including songwriter, packaging, notes, arrangement, engineering, producing, historical, immersive audio, music video and music film honors, nominations are determined by specialized craft committees instead of the first-round ballot.
That means an “entered for consideration” announcement is not confirmation of a Grammy nomination. The entry window for the 69th Annual Grammy Awards has already closed. According to the same FAQ, recordings had to be released between August 31, 2025, and August 28, 2026, and they had to be submitted during the online entry period that ran from July 7 through August 21, 2026. First-round voting took place from October 12 through October 22. The remaining public step is the November 16 announcement, not a new chance to add recordings.
Our earlier coverage of the debate around Kendrick Lamar’s Grammy nominations concerned a previous awards cycle. It is not evidence of nominations, exclusions or category placements for 2027. Separate recent music coverage, including our review of Cardi B’s Tiny Desk performance, is likewise not a preview of the coming nominations list.
What follows the announcement is already on the Academy’s published calendar. Final-round voting runs from December 10, 2026, through January 7, 2027. The 69th Annual Grammy Awards are scheduled for Sunday, February 7, 2027, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, airing at 7 p.m. Eastern / 4 p.m. Pacific on ABC and streaming on Disney+ and Hulu. That start time converts to 6 a.m. in Dhaka on February 8. The Academy describes the Grammy as music’s peer-recognized accolade and says its nearly 16,000 Voting Members, drawn from working songwriters, composers, producers, engineers and other music creators, determine the nominees and winners. The FAQ currently lists 100 award categories across 11 genre fields and one general field.
For now, the practical next step is to watch the official nominations presentation and wait for the Academy’s own list, rather than circulating an unofficial slate of nominees or winners. This report is based on the Recording Academy’s November 6 announcement and its Grammy 101 FAQ, both opened on November 8, 2026. If the Academy updates the schedule, the later official notice is the one to follow.
